Each issue includes interviews with famous photographers, curators, editors and collectors. They write about upcoming projects by great photographers, articles on new and collectable books, as well as new and vintage collectable cameras.
The policy of Variatio is to only publish photographers represented by at least one gallery, to safeguard the collector.
In this second issue, Variatio has the honor to publish interviews with Mr. Duane Michals and the curator of the Kyosato Museum, Mr. Heiko Hosoe.
There are images from portfolios of great artists such as Dmitry Orlov, Jean Christophe Berchet, Angelika Sher and Gabriele Stabile. They featured and published a selection of artwork from galleries including Assar Art Gallery, Boudoin Lebon, The Empty Quarter, and For Gallery. Each piece includes an interview with one photographer they represent. Also included in the second issue is an interview with Mr. Winfried Henninger, publisher of Kodoji Press.
Variatio is available worldwide in bookstores, museums and galleries specializing in photography. The magazine has a limited print run of 5000 numbered copies.
