"The nakedness on his images is not an ultimate goal for Vlachy, but a
means of communication, an integral part of the image, often a symbol
of vulnerability.
They reflect the psychological and
social atmosphere of the present time - the beginning of the third
millenium, with rather confused scale of values. His images represent
the artist's reaction to today's reality, full of unfulfilled desires,
sexual obsessions and prohibitions, reproaches, aggressions and romantic nostalgia.
They are neither a portrait nor a nude, as one might think at
the first sight, and all in all it's nearly impossible to define them as
part of one genre. They are creatively conceived as a complicated
